"Only those who understand cryptographic systems in the context of complex IT landscapes can secure them effectively. Effective crypto strategies are based on robust key management and a well-designed certificate infrastructure. The goal: to think of security operationally and implement it in a practical way."
Daniel Schulz-Sembten is an Assistant Manager at KPMG and has been advising clients – particularly in the financial services sector – since 2021 on the implementation of projects related to operational information security, with a focus on SOC, SIEM, and incident management. His work places a particular emphasis on encryption and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), where he supports companies in the secure operation of cryptographic systems. In doing so, he combines technical expertise with regulatory knowledge, especially in the context of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).
