D-Trust has announced updates to its S/MIME certificate portfolio. As part of ongoing improvements to issuance processes, certain S/MIME certificate types will be phased out.

The affected certificates include “Advanced Personal ID,” “Advanced Enterprise (incl. SIG/ENC) ID,” and “Advanced Team ID.” These certificates will expire on May 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM. New applications for these certificate types will no longer be accepted starting May 4, 2026.

Organizations and users should take these deadlines into account and plan the transition to new certificates in a timely manner. Additional details are available in D-Trust’s official announcement.
